Spirit Airlines announced Thursday afternoon it would move its operations control center to Williamson County.

The company will make the move from Florida.

“We are proud that Spirit Airlines has chosen Williamson County as the new home for their operations control center,” Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson said. “We look forward to welcoming them to our community and doing all we can to support their mission-critical work.”

The project represents an investment of $11.3 million and will bring 345 jobs to Tennessee over the next five years. Spirit will relocate more than 240 positions to Tennessee and create 100 additional jobs in Williamson County.
